Friday May 27, 2005 was the official opening of the Milton Day Centre located on the border of the
Town of Milton and Town of Halton Hills. This new modern building provides a much needed facility
for a very vulnerable and needy part of our community. We currently serve over 60 Deaf children
and adults with intellectual disabilities. The Milton Day Centre is the focal point for
activities, programs and events with the goal of providing our clients with opportunities for a
higher quality of life. Through many generous contributions, we have been able to build this new Centre. Our donors have recognized the benefits of investing in our clients through the BRAD. We thank our supporters and acknowledge their support.
The Milton Day Centre is officially opened. The Rev. Bob Rumball cuts the ribbon assisted by
(from left) Executive Director Brad Saunders, Burlington MPP Cam Jackson, Chair of the Board
John Potts, Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette, Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz, Halton Regional Chair
Joyce Savoline and Gary Carr, MP Halton. Over 140 people attended the official opening ceremonies held on Friday May 27, 2005. Located at the corner of Regional Road 25 and the Campbellville Road, north of the Town of Milton, the new centre provides job skills training and life skills for over 60 Deaf children and adults with intellectual disabilities. |
