Ontario Early Years Centre

The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf is proud to announce the opening of The Ontario Early Years Centre at The Manor on December 9th, 2003. The OEYC is currently open two mornings a week for Infant Stimulation and Family Drop-In Programs.

The Infant Stimulation Program is for babies (0-2 years) and their parents/caregivers and is offered Tuesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Through creative and educational activities, children will have the opportunity to engage in safe and stimulating social play and parents will have an opportunity to connect with other parents in the community.

The Family Drop-in Program is for children (0-6 years) and their parents/caregivers and is offered on Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am. Parents enjoy participating in age-appropriate activities and games with their children and promoting school readiness. Parents may receive guidance on issues such as discipline, health, and development for their preschool age child from both staff and other parents within the community.

Our unique ability to address the needs of deaf parents and /or deaf children ensures it is an inclusive environment for all. Staff communicate in both English and American Sign Language.
