More Rumball Early Education Centre

STAFF
Deaf and Hearing teachers are qualified with diplomas or degrees in Early Childhood Education.

All staff are proficient in ASL, with an understanding of Deaf Culture. They are trained and certified in First Aid and CPR. The teachers are warm and caring individuals who take a personal interest in each child.

HOURS OF OPERATION
The Rumball Early Education Centre is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Although full time children receive priority, we do have limited part time spaces available (2, 3, or 4 days per week, or 1/2 days).

PRESCHOOL CLOSURE
New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

FEES
Fees are based on a full day/ half day with or without lunch basis. Subsidy may be available. Please contact Program Manager for fee and subsidy information.

MEALS
A nutritious morning and afternoon snack is served and a hot lunch is provided daily. Menus for snacks and lunches are posted to help you plan a balanced food schedule for your child(ren).

REST
Rest is an essential part of the day for a young child. There is a daily rest period of an hour to two hours, depending on the age and needs of the child.

OBSERVATION
You are most welcome to stop in at any time to observe your child and our program in action. We feel it is vital that you are aware and understand what we are doing with your child on a daily basis. We welcome any suggestions you may have to help us enrich our program.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf is centrally located, enabling parents to provide their own transportation for their child. There are occasional field trips and ongoing special events (i.e. birthday celebrations, visits to the zoo, parks, etc.). During the summer program, the children go on bi-weekly field trips.
